Frage zu E5270 von Medion

    Hallo ans Forum,


    unser hiesiger Discounter verkauft ein Medion E5270.
    Leider finde ich in der Rubrik E5x70 nichts dazu. Sind diese Geräte noch so neu oder so wenig verbreitet? Bin da leider nicht so der Spezialist in der Materie.
    Da ich ein Gerät dieser Grösse suche wollte ich mal hier im Forum fragen, ob das Gerät im Vergleich zu z.B. 5470 oder teureren Modellen entscheidende Nachteile hat. Software ist die ME7.5A Version, also die Basisversion.
    Ich benötige es im Prinzip um gelegentlich und vor allem zuverlässig von A nach B zu kommen, weitergehende Ansprüche an Gimmicks habe ich nicht.

    Ist identisch zum E5470, nur kein BT. Es steht zwar im WiKi ohne Mikrophon, bin mir da aber nicht ganz sicher, da die neueren Geräte eigentlich immer ein Mikro haben zwecks der Sprachsteuerung.

    Sicher bin ich auch nicht, aber da die "ME 7.5A" keine "Voice Destination Entry" besitzt, könnte es trotzdem stimmen. :dontknow:

    So, ich habe das Gerät jetzt bei Aldi Belgien gekauft (deshalb Handbuch in DE-FR-NL).
    Zur allgemeinen Info hier ein Foto des Paketinhaltes (Medion E5270 - Aldi MD99425).
    Zusätzlich war noch ein Gutschein zum Kartenupdate dabei, Gültigkeit bis 30.9.2017.

    I have purchased the E5270 by Aldi Belgium too.


    Now I have a strange problem with the Travel Guide.


    When I tried to use the Travel Guide in Dutch (Nederlands), it did not work. (and I must shut down the device).


    I have then tried in German, French and English and it worked!


    I tried again in Dutch, and it locked again.


    Will you be kind enough to try it on your device and let me know the result?

    well, I think the behaviour of my device is identical.
    I switch the language to Dutch, the device restarts, I go to Extras-Travel Guide and I land on a page with five selection boxes where I can not select anything. (Reisgids, Selecteer etc).
    Once I have clicked on the "Selecteer" fields, the device is blocked and I have to switch it off to make it work again.
    I suppose that they did not translate the travel guide into Dutch.

    Well, on my DVD there is a "dutch-named" *.cab in \INSTALL\4\travelguide_data_xxxxxxxxx_nl_x.cab. Did you guys make sure to have it installed in this version? :denk_002:


    If so you should find the DB-File (SQLite) in -> \My Flash Disk\Navigation\multimedia\travelguide\content\database\travelguide_nl.db3. And of course, all the content, categories and items in the database is in Dutch, check my shot below. :top_002:
    And you're sure this scenario doesn't work on a properly installed pna? :denk_002:

    The file travelguide_nl.db3 was installed, but apparently there was a bug...


    I had to insist before Medion acknowledged the problem, but finally, they sent another file travelguide_nl.db3 to replace the one installed on the device, so it works.
