Hello all,

I am sorry to ask you the question in English but my German is not so good :)

I have an older Medion device, MD 95720. Now for several days, I am trying to put GoPal 3.0 on it. Thanks to your forum, which was a big help already!

But, now I have a problem and I cannot find a good solution for it. I am receiving this message: F3008...

Just to check that I did everything alright (with flashing, and soft and hard resets). Can someone tell me, what is the whole process of installing GoPal? Starting with how to remove the present install...

Or is there a more easy way to have the F3008 message go away?

Thank you very much for your help!

Thank you very much for your fast response. I have installed them though on my sd card. Its as if the system doesnt find them...

The maps must be in \MapRegions. But remember: maps and the GoPal-Version must match together!

Did both and still nothing...

Maybe I have done something wrong with the flashing or installation? Maybe its an option to deinstall everything and try it again?

And by the way: I have put the maps on SD card...is that correct?

Ralf25

BTW: Location of the maps is written in the manual, SD -> \MapRegions or \My Flash Disk\MapRegions.

Correct, so I have that first option: \MapRegions but nothing...

Try to setup your PNA either with the GoPal-Assistant or use the way described in the GoPal-Wiki.

But shouldnt I first de-install everything? And if yes, how should I do that?

Yes and - again - check our GoPal-Wiki or try!

BTW: what kind of PNA is behind the MD95720?

PNA500T

Okay so I found the cleanup info, thank you. When I'm at home, I will do the following:

Clean-Up, remove all (or should I choose something else)
Then set the device up through the GoPal assistant

Do I need to do something else?

According to our overview -> http://www.wiki.gopal-navigator.de/index.php?title=Ger%C3%A4te%C3%BCbersicht your PNA is an CE Core 4.2 one!

That means, you have to flash your PNA at first.

iggy2008

Yes I flashed it before...if I clean-up everything, do I need to flash again?

Sorry for my many questions, but I dont understand much about it :) And I want to do it right...

If there weren't any errors, it's ok.

And here is the exactly link -> http://www.wiki.gopal-navigator.de/index.php?title=GoPal_3.x_Installation

Okay. So I have clean upped everything, then installed the files on a sd card, put it in the device. It installed again. Then I put MapRegions on the sd card. But still nothing, again failure F3008.

Via the GoPal assistant on my computer, it says"I cannot find any installation software on the device.

What am I doing wrong?

OK, don't change your setup on the PNA any more. It seems to me that either your SD-Card is corrupt or you're using an incompatible CardReader though.
Workaround: try to transfer only your main map via the assi to the internal memory of the PNA.

Ok so I only installed 1 map under MapRegions, put it on another SD card and this works...but the GoPal assistant still says it cannot find navigation software?

Ralf25
03.03.2009, 22:02
Ah ok, if your Assi doesn't want to work you have to try another SD, formatted either FAT/FAT16 or FAT32.
Which kind of CardReader (type resp. name) are you using?

iggy2008
03.03.2009, 22:06
Why use another sd? The navigator works, the assi doesnt...

Cardreader is Hama, sd card was 4gb...now I used 1gb

Well, you still get F3008, right? That means, GoPal can't find any maps.

That sounds good!

Well actually, the Medion device doesnt give me F3008 anymore...it is calculating the route now. Dont know if it works tough, because Im at home and not moving :D

It is the GoPal assistant which says that it cant find navigation software in the device...

Ah sorry, you're right, I missed this in your posting above.

OK, did you update the Assi to the newest version V4.01.012?

iggy2008
03.03.2009, 22:30
No :) How should I do that? And why?

Ralf25
03.03.2009, 22:37
How? From here: http://www.mediongopal.de
Why? Perhaps it solves your problem!

Ok so i installed the new version, but nothing. It still doesnt recognise maps in the gopal assistant. Moreover, when I am installing the programs on the MD95720, it gives me messages like : "file 240x320 was not copied successfully. Try again?"or file Berlitz.png was not copies successfully. Try again?"

What can I do?

You can check whether your setup contains all the required files and only them! Why do you need files for a resolution of 240x320 pixel? :smt017

Hello iggy2008

Please install your satnav with the original files, then copy only one map on the sd card. When it works with one map but dont work with all maps then your cardreader is not convenient or your sd card ist damaged.

Hi Navirunner,

I am feeling really stupid, but what do you mean with: "please install your satnav with the original files"? How should I do this? Should I delete anything on my SD card now?

Thanks again.

OK, forget the Assi, go back to this one-> http://www.gopal-navigator.de/viewtopic.php?p=32167#32167 You had it already gone!

And here is shown, which files you need: http://www.gopal-navigator.de/viewtopic.php?t=1108&highlight=howto Delete all the languages (*_pl_* e.g.) and resolutions (*480x272*) you don't need resp. which are obsolete for your PNA.
